Dr. phil. Rebecca Bower
UK-trained Clinical Psychologist

I am a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist with a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan. I was born and raised in the North of England, spent much of my adult life in Scotland, and have been living in Switzerland for the past seven years.

Professionally, I have worked in a variety of specialist settings within the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS), including Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Maternity and Neonatal Services, Adult Mental Health, and Intellectual Disability services. In my clinical work, I enjoy connecting with children, young people, and adults to support psychological wellbeing using a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other integrative models - tailoring each intervention to suit the individual's unique needs and circumstances.

I have also spent six years working as a School Counsellor at the International School of Basel. This role strengthened my awareness of the unique opportunities and challenges associated with global mobility and deepened my passion for supporting the expatriate community. This work also inspired me to co-author The RAFT That Soared, a story and activity journal designed to support children and young people navigating transitions and relocations.

Outside of work, I live in Baselland with my family. I value quality time with family and friends, and enjoy hiking, travel, badminton, and the occasional exciting adventure!
