Dr. phil. Danilo Dominguez
Clinical Psychologist

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and relocated to Miami during adolescence, an experience that shaped my early understanding of migration, adaptation, and identity across cultural contexts. Living and working across the United States and Europe has strengthened my systemic perspective and informed my clinical and academic work with multicultural individuals and families.

I began my clinical career in Miami, joining Jackson Memorial Hospital as a psychological case manager, conducting assessments and supporting patients with complex psychosocial needs. I also worked at a Miami Behavioral Health Center performing psychological intakes and within the Miami-Dade Public School System supporting children and families. After relocating to Europe, I continued my clinical work in Spain, practicing psychotherapy while consolidating my specialization in systemic and family-based interventions. Since 2017, I have run my own private practice in Spain and later moved to Switzerland, where I worked at the Appenzell Ausserrhoden Psychiatry Hospital in Herisau within the psychotherapy department. During this time, I also collaborated with the Google EAP program in Europe, providing psychological support and guidance to employees in multicultural corporate settings. I continue to provide psychoeducation, psychological services, and psychotherapy to adults, couples, and families navigating migration-related stress, intergenerational conflict, trauma, and domestic violence.

My clinical approach integrates systemic, evidence-based, and solution-focused methods with cultural sensitivity. I serve as a peer reviewer for international journals and have published research in clinical psychology and systemic interventions. My goal is to develop preventive and therapeutic frameworks that promote resilience, relational stability, and long-term well-being.

In my personal life, I live and work in Switzerland and value intercultural exchange, professional development, and an active lifestyle.
